The Story Behind Our Mission
ABOUT MASON
Mason was a healthy, active seven-year-old who loved sports, dirt bikes, the outdoors, and spending time with family and friends. In September 2013, after experiencing problems with his eyesight, an MRI revealed a tumor on his brain stem.
Over the next three and a half years, Mason faced two major brain surgeries at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital, proton radiation, chemotherapy, and countless medical appointments with remarkable courage and resilience. After the tumor returned in 2016, genomic testing confirmed that it was glioblastoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer.
On February 27, 2017, just days before his 11th birthday, Mason left this life and entered his eternal home in Heaven.
While our hearts were forever changed by his loss, his courage, strength, and incredible spirit continue to inspire us every day. Mason’s story did not end that day. His legacy lives on through Mason’s Hope Foundation and every child and family we have the honor of helping in his name.
Mason’s Hope Foundation provides essential financial relief to parents so they can focus on their Childs health and healing.
How We Help.
We believe the power of community and compassion can make a meaningful difference in the lives of young warriors and their families.
This belief guides us as we provide essential resources and financial assistance to help ease the burdens they face. Our initiatives include:
Medical Support: Offering grants and funding for medical treatments, therapies, and equipment that are crucial for the well-being of our young warriors.
Family Assistance: Assisting families with travel expenses, accommodations, and other necessities to ensure they can be by their child’s side during treatment.
Memorial Assistance: When a child goes to Heaven too soon, our Memorial Assistance extends a compassionate hand, helping to cover funeral and burial expenses. We want to ensure families can honor their child with the love and dignity they deserve at this difficult time.
